Summary: The first stay cable bridge in the history of Pakistan is located in azad jammu kashmir, Muzafarabad city over the river Jehlum. The bridge is also the highest bridge in Pakistan with geometer high pier in the centre. The bridge is 473 m long consisting of 246m extra dosed stay cables, portion, 59m long east side approach viaduct and 168m long west side approach viaduct. The height of bridge is 27m. The deck of the bridge itself consists of twin cell pre-stressed concrete box girder in x-section. The deck is constructed by a pair of form travelers using the balance cantilever erection method.
